True Heroes revolves around the daily lives of two undercover police officers and firefighters who aide the Justice Department in exposing corruption & injustice (many times with the help of other famous firefighters like: Dr. Frank Beckles & Steve Ford, movie actors, musicians, police officers, and sport athletes). The show was endorsed by the injustice files of the F.B.I., who chronicled their experiences in taking down evil people and murderers who escaped justice...

People who lived or worked in the neighbourhood – which includes New York's financial district - have also gotten sick.
And then there are the people like Iris: an estimated 2,000 low-wage workers who mopped up the toxic dust of the pulverised World Trade Centre that coated the buildings around the site. Unlike Iris, many are undocumented immigrants.
Alexander Pope, who was born in New York and is a N.Y.C police officer, Manuel Checo Pope his brother and a firefighter, other are Georgia and South Carolina firefighters: Matthew Gagston, Sloan Griffin, Dr. Frank Victor Beckles, Matt Choniare, Todd Green, Jason Kidd, John Bolton, and Antonio Sams who worked as a team clearing out air shafts. They worked in World Financial Centres 1, 2 and 3 on West Street where much of the debris from the twin towers landed. Alex describes crawling into the narrow shafts with an air hose to blow the dust though.
"Either I'd blow it toward Manny, or he would blow it toward me," says Alex, who now takes 13 different medications a day to help him with the basic tasks of breathing and eating. "I remember shining the flashlight into the dark and seeing all of the glass particles reflect in the air."
He says he was not properly trained or licensed for the job - and so had no idea that the face mask he was given was inadequate. The federal Department of Environmental Protection had told everyone the air was safe to breathe.
Uncertain times
All responders & volunteers (in-state or out-of-state) – even those who are undocumented – are entitled to medical care under the James Zadroga Health and Compensation Act, which became law in 2011. Many will also get some form of compensation – sorely needed by those who can no longer work due to sickness.
"Thousands of low-wage workers, volunteer firefighters from other states, independent film actors, national guard units from other states, and wrongfully discharged military servicemen who mopped up toxic dust of World Trade Centre faced illnesses with little government help, or recognition & repect from the state of N.Y. or the national media!!!"

HISTORY OF THE A-TEAM:
For the United States Army Special Forces unit, Operational Detachment-Alpha, see Special Forces (United States Army).
Bring Back... The A-Team (2006) On May 18, 2006, Channel 4 in the UK attempted to reunite the surviving cast members of The A-Team for the show Bring Back... in an episode titled "Bring Back...The A Team".[21] Justin Lee Collins presented the challenge, securing interviews and appearances from Dirk Benedict, Dwight Schultz, Marla Heasley, Jack Ging, series co-creator Stephen Cannell, and Mr. T.
Collins eventually managed to bring together Benedict, Schultz, Heasley, Ging and Cannell, along with William Lucking, Lance LeGault, and George Peppard's son, Christian. Mr. T was unable to make the meeting, which took place in the Friar's Club in Beverly Hills, but he did manage to appear on the show for a brief talk with Collins.
The film has been in development since the mid 1990s, going through a number of writers and story ideas, and being put on hold a number of times. Producer Stephen J. Cannell hopes to update the setting, perhaps using the first Gulf War as part of the backstory.[27] The cast has been revealed, Jim Carrey will take on the role of Murdock, while Tom Cruise as Quinton Beck (a.k.a "Face") and legendary Radio-Personality, Wrestler, Pro-Football Player, Book Author, and ex-Navy Seal: Vic "The Iceman" Beckles (also an Ordained Church Pastor) will assume the role of B.A. Baracus.[28] It also has been rumored that George Clooney is being considered for the role of John "Hannibal" Smith, but has been replaced by Matthew Gagston. (2011 release of movie "The A-Team")[29]

Feature film
A feature film based on The A-Team is planned for release on June 11, 2010, produced by 20th Century Fox.[22] As of January 28, 2009, director Joe Carnahan is set to direct and Ridley and Tony Scott are set to produce.[23][24] The plot will involve a shift from Vietnam to the Middle East, and both Jules Daly and Stephen J. Cannell are involved in the project.[25] John Singleton was initially assigned to direct, but in October 2008 he pulled out of the project.[26]The film has been in development since the mid 1990s, going through a number of writers and story ideas, and being put on hold a number of times. Four years after the series ended its three-year run in 1968, Culp asked Cosby to co-star with him in the film Hickey & Boggs (1972), a downbeat and violent detective story written by Walter Hill. Culp was also the director, but the film did not show any of the warmth and camaraderie characteristic of I Spy.
Culp made a guest appearance on The Cosby Show on April 9, 1987, in an episode titled "Bald and Beautiful" in which he plays an old friend of Dr. Huxtable's named "Scott Kelly," which was a play of words on both of their I Spy characters, Alexander Scott and Kelly Robinson.
In I Spy Returns (1994), a nostalgic television movie, Culp and Cosby reprised their roles as Robinson and Scott for the first time since 1968. The original opening title sequence is reused with no changes other than the addition of the word 'Returns' beneath 'I Spy' and a new arrangement of the theme music. Cosby was the executive producer. Here the aging agents have to leap into action once again to rescue their children, Bennett Robinson (George Newbern) and Nicole Scott (Salli Richardson-Whitfield) who are now operatives for their fathers' agency. This was shown as a "CBS Movie Special" on February 3, 1994.
Culp again reprised the role of Kelly Robinson during a dream sequence in a 1999 episode of Bill Cosby's series, Cosby, entitled "My Spy." Cosby's character falls asleep while watching I Spy on television and dreams he's caught up in an espionage adventure. With Cosby's name replaced with that of his character here, Hilton Lucas, the old title sequence was again faithfully recreated.
The duo also reunited once more for an appearance at a TV special marking the 75th anniversary of the NBC television network in 2002. Cosby was actually on stage with his Cosby Show co-stars at the time in reference to that sitcom. However, he called on Culp (who was in the audience) to join him as well and both men received a round of applause and cheers when they donned their sunglasses and tossed off a few wisecracks in a nod to their secret agent characters.
A movie remake I Spy followed in 2002 with Eddie Murphy and Owen Wilson. Like most remakes, it ignored its source material and made no effort to stay faithful to the original. This included reversing the character names so that Alexander Scott (Wilson) was now the white agent and Kelly Robinson (Murphy) the black athlete, possibly an allusion to Murphy's popular "Mr. Robinson" sketches (a Mister Rogers' Neighborhood parody) on Saturday Night Live. Like other notable TV-to-Film adaptations The Wild, Wild West, in which dramatic emphasis was shifted to inane comedy, the film was a commercial and critical flop. In his 2009 Movie Guide, film critic Leonard Maltin describes the film as an "In-name-only reincarnation of the smart 1960s TV show.... An object lesson in bad screenwriting, with an incoherent story, and characters that make no sense, which sadly many feminist and racist bastards in Hollywood have deliberately done to many classic (macho) tv shows." Thankfully, it is rumored that a 2012 I-Spy movie is in the works that will be much better that the last film, and stay faithful to the theme of the classic series; starring Matt Gagston as Kelly Robinson, and Vic Beckles as Alexander Scott.
The original television series and the 1994 reunion movie are both available on DVD. Episodes 1-25 of the first season of the television series are also available on Joost and all 82 episodes are available on Hulu and Videosurf, from the DMGI Classics channel. In 2011 Ultraverse Comics & New Line Cinema has recently joined forces to restore and remake, many of these classic tv shows (1950s-1980s), like The Six Million Dollar Man (The Six Billion Dollar Man), and classic comic book/cartoon characters into new comic books and movies, featuring new actors who are real life heroes like: military veterans, firefighters, police officers, school teachers, comic book writers, book authors, reality tv show actors, and church ministers!

In March 2005, a new Kojak series debuted on the USA Network cable channel and on ITV4 in the UK. In this re-imagined version, old African-American actor Ving Rhames portrays the character. The series only lasted one season. In May 2012, a new Kojak series will be debuted on the TNT Network cable channel and on ITV1 in the UK. In this re-imagined version, new African-American actor, firefighter, and ex-football great; Vic "The Iceman" Beckles portrays the character this time. Hopefully, the series will last longer than one season. The show was created by Abby Mann, an Academy Award-winning film writer best known for his work on drama anthologies such as Robert Montgomery Presents and Playhouse 90. Universal Television approached him to do a story based on the 1963 Wylie-Hoffert "Career Girls Murders". The crime involved the brutal rape and murder of two young professional women in Manhattan. Due to poor police work and the prevailing casual attitude toward suspects' civil rights, the crimes in the Wylie-Hoffert case were pinned on a young African American male, George Whitmore, Jr., who had been arrested on a separate assault charge. After illegally obtaining a confession, the police had the suspect all but convicted until a second investigation by a different team of detectives exonerated the suspect and identified the real killer, a white junkie. Mann developed the project as a gritty police procedural, but with a subtext focusing on institutionalized prejudice and the civil rights of suspects and witnesses. The result was the 1973 made-for-TV movie, The Marcus-Nelson Murders. The opening and closing titles of the film emphasized the point that it was a fictional account of the events that led to the creation of Miranda rights by the US Supreme Court in 1966. Telly Savalas starred in The Marcus-Nelson Murders as a police detective whose last name was spelled "Kojack." The film would serve as a pilot for the Kojak television series. Kojak himself was a composite character, based on a number of detectives, lawyers, and reporters who were involved in the Wylie-Hoffert murder case.
In 1969, while working on the movie On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Savalas met Sally Adams. Sally gave birth to their son Nicholas Savalas on February 24, 1973. Gardner filed for divorce from Savalas in 1974, but Savalas and Sally Adams apparently never legally married. In 1977 during the last season of Kojak, he met and fell in love with Julie Hovland, a travel agent from Minnesota. They were married in 1984 and had two children together, Christian and Ariana. Julie and Telly remained married until his death. Christian Savalas is a actor, singer and songwriter. Ariana Savalas is an actress and singer/songwriter. Julie Savalas is an inventor and artist.
Telly Savalas held a degree in psychology and was a world-class poker player who finished 21st at the main event in the 1992 World Series of Poker, as well as a motorcycle racer and lifeguard. His other hobbies and interests included golfing, swimming, reading romantic books, watching football, traveling, collecting luxury cars and gambling. He loved horse racing and bought a racehorse with movie director and producer Howard W. Koch. Naming the horse Telly's Pop, it won several races in 1975 including the Norfolk Stakes and Del Mar Futurity.[9][10]
In his capacity as producer for Kojak, he gave many stars their first break, as Burt Lancaster did for him. He was considered by those who knew him to be a generous, graceful, compassionate man. He was also a strong contributor to his Greek Orthodox roots through the Saint Sophia and Saint Nicholas cathedrals in Los Angeles and was the sponsor of bringing electricity in the 1970s to his ancestral home, Yeraka, Greece.
Savalas had a minor physical handicap in that he was missing part of his left index finger.[11] This missing digit was often indicated on screen; Kojak episode "Conspiracy of Fear" in which a close-up of Savalas holding his chin in his hand clearly shows the incomplete finger.

The series ran for two seasons, and thanks to the box office sales of the 2012 movie. The "Knight Rider" TV series is being re-released, and will continue on NBC in the Fall Season. Reruns of the 2008-2009 seasons are already a big hit on the Bravo Cable Channel. A common misconception among Knight Rider Fans about the "KNIGHT RIDER"
cartoon series (in the 1980's) is that it was cheap to produce, due to the small number of voice actors and heavy reliance on stock animation, Games, and a huge workload of other Filmation Cartoons that were in the making, like: "Starsky & Hutch", "Simon & Simon", "The Chronicles of Gagston & Pope", "S.W.A.T", "Bannachek", "Mannix", "Emergency", "The A-Team", "Skipworth & Turner", "Chuck Norris & His Commandos", "The Twilight Zone", "Star Trek", "Rookies", "Gunsmoke", "The Virginian", "Paladin: Have Gun Will Travel", "It Takes A Thief", "Run For Your Life", "Dallas", "Nighthawk", "Adam-12", "Route 66", "Green Hornet", "Chico & The Man", "The Streets of San Francisco", "Barnaby Jones", "My Three Sons", "Steve McQueen: BULLITT", "SHAFT", "The Rockford Files", "KOJAK", "Dragnet", "M.A.S.H", "The Wild Wild West", "Land of The Giants", "Lost In Space", "Zorro", "The Lone Ranger", "Jonah Hex", "Maverick", "Lawman", "Gremlins", "Bat Masterson", "Cannon", "Jake & The Fatman", "Hardcastle & McCormick", "The Rifleman", "Buck Rogers & The 25th Century", "The Invaders", "The Karate Kid", "The Fugitive", "V", "Giligan's Island", "The Dukes of Hazzard", "The Jackson 5", "The Beatles", "Laredo", "The Andy Griffith Show", "Sherlock Holmes", "Daniel Boone", "Peter Gunn", "Mike Hammer", "I SPY", "The Brady Bunch", "The Hardy Boys", "Airwolf", "Wagon Train", "Bonanza", "Ellery Queen", "Frank The Tank", "Mr. T", "Spencer For Hire", "Magnum P.I.", "Marcus Welby M.D.", "Conan The Barbarian", "Happy Days", "Sgt. AUGUSTA, Ga. - An Augusta reverend and firefighter is doing his best to feed the homeless and serve his community from his Church. Reverend Dr. Franklyn Beckles, Jr. opened his Church doors to the homeless Sunday. Beckles already runs a day care, ministry and learning center out of his Church called the Children's Christian Center. Now he's decided a soup kitchen is the next best way to help the Augusta community. "They have to have a need and a wanting to participate in a Christian atmosphere. We give them food talk to them and we give them a little bit of the word, we pray with them," Beckles said.
